HUGHROY

DALEY

CERTIFIED LEVEL 1 COACH

 

Hughroy Daley, one of the founding members of ETC, is a USATF Level 1 Certified Coach.  Mr. Daley began his athletic career in Montego Bay, Jamaica where he competed for his High School and The Montego Bay Comets Track Club. His specialty is the 100 and 200 meter sprints. In 1998 while attending the University of the West Indies, Mr. Daley received a full Soccer scholarship to attend Hosftra University in the United States.

 

Hughroy lives in Hempstead and is married with two kids, one of whom is a member of the track club.

His goal for our ETC scholar athletes is to develop a sense of purpose and discipline, become physically fit and display good sportsmanship in the sport of track and field.

QUASEN

GRANNUM

CERTIFIED LEVEL 1 COACH

 

Quasen Grannum is one of the founding members of ETC and is a USATF Level 1 Certified Coach. Quasen has been competitive on both the high school and college level in track and field.  Through hard work, Quasen ran middle distance, from the 400 meters to cross- country. His favorite is middle distance, simply because of the challenges one faces with other runners. He is also a certified USATF-Long Island official and assisted with the 2015 Penn Relays Finish Timing.

 

Quasen lives in Baldwin and is married with four kids, two of whom are members of the track club.

 

His goals for the ETC athletes are to help build a strong foundation for track, to work hard and to have fun.

DENISE

DORIS-BROWN

CERTIFIED LEVEL 1 COACH

Denise Doris-Brown, holds a Masters (MSW) degree from Adelphi University and Bachelors of Arts from Binghamton University. She is currently the Secretary of ETC and mother of one of our ETC scholar athletes. Denise strongly believes everyone has a purpose in life, a unique gift or special talent to give to others. This is one the reason she has chosen to be a Coach.

 

Denise has been working with children, youths, young adults, families, and communities for many years. Denise is motivated to uphold the ETC mission, work collaboratively with ETC Coaches, representing ETC with integrity while professionally servicing our ETC scholar athletes and parents. Ghandi states, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the services of others.”

 

Denise is passionate about track and field. She began her athletic career in Guyana, South America where she competed in the 100m, 4 x 100m relays, and long jump.

 

Denise’s S.M.A.R.T. goals for the ETC scholar athletes are to empower, strengthen and enhance each athlete academically, physically, and emotionally. In addition, helping each athlete embrace their purpose, athleticism, agility and versatility while being disciplined and focused to attain their goals.
